We’re following baby’s lead for posing and will take lots of breaks as needed for diapers changes, spit takes, feedings and snuggles all in the comfort of your space with your things you’ve been carefully curating for the last 9 months nearby.

We work together from the very beginning to make sure once baby is born we’ve eliminated as much brain power required for your session as possible- all you need to do is be in the moment, kiss that tiny nose, snuggle in with your family and gaze upon that sweet little person you made- easy right?

Your session is done in the comfort of your home, when baby is between 5 days and 6 weeks old to capture that sleepy snuggly stage, tiny little toes and all the love you have for the newest member of your family.

a documentary leaning lifestyle family newborn session means we’re capturing all the love and personality of this chapter of your story (with some prompting so you can focusing on snuggling that new little love and never wonder what to do with your hands.) and the raw real postpartum details of the extra hair on baby’s arms and back, your breastfeeding snack station and the little postpartum bubble your household is in. We can capture the real and raw alongside those images you want to send to grandmas and hang on your walls.

Brittney has captured our family, gender reveal, maternity newborn and I just scheduled our homestyle holiday -I love photos we get and how fun our session is!  and I love that we have real smiles and us in our everyday activities even more! I do a mix of posed and guided candid poses. I will tell you exactly where to stand, look, and put your hands. I’ll even give you a few prompts to get some genuine connection. You can certainly send me some Pinterest inspiration but keep in mind I can’t recreate a pose exactly and I will put my own twist on it. You hired ME after all.

Of course it is! Confidence in front of the camera isn’t something that comes natural! Which is why we make sure you feel great before you ever arrive on location by working together to style your session so you’re thrilled with what everyone is wearing from your hair down to your toes! That outfit that makes you feel like a three year old in a superhero costume, that’s the winner!

On Location, we’ll be focused on movement and moments! So I’ll use prompts to help guide you into a moment that is also secretly a super flattering pose, I’ll move myself around and have you focused on your littles and your love. Your job is to have fun with your littles and because we’ve worked together in all the planning I know which kiddo is ready to lead the pack, which one needs extra help coming out of their shell and what song to break out to start a dance party full of lots of giggles.

Your home is your home. It’s where you welcome baby into your family, where your memories will be made and how you’ll remember these early days- thats what makes it so sentimental. If it’s lighting you’re worried about, I’m comfortable shooting in all lighting scenarios! We’ll find the right spot by a window for gorgeous natural light (augment if needed) and focus on those little details of this new family dynamic and the big love for your tiny humans. Your family and the love you have for each other are the focus of these images, not your home. (also, not even the homes on pinterest look like those photos😉)

We stay in good communication I block off three weeks before and after your due date to make sure I am available for your session, so If babe decides to come early or wants to take their sweet time choosing their birthday just let me know via text and when they are here we’ll get your session moved to the right date to capture all those little details of your brand new baby
