In-Home Lactation Support in Northeast Ohio

Bringing a new baby home is beautiful, but it can also feel overwhelming. Breastfeeding doesn’t always come naturally, and when challenges arise, you deserve calm, hands-on support in the comfort of your own home.

I meet you right where you are — on your couch, in your favorite chair, and yes, even tucked into bed with your newborn while you’re wearing matching diapers and nothing else. With gentle guidance, evidence-based care, and a mama-to-mama understanding, I help you and your baby find your rhythm so feeding feels less stressful and more connected.

What an In-Home Consult Looks Like

Every family and feeding journey is unique. When I arrive at your home, we’ll take time to slow down and focus fully on you and your baby. My goal is always to leave you feeling lighter, more confident, and supported — not overwhelmed with too much information.

A warm, judgment-free space to share your concerns and questions.

A full feeding assessment — I’ll observe a nursing or bottle-feeding session, check for latch and positioning with practical tips that work with your body and your baby.

Personalized guidance on milk supply, pumping, returning to work, or supplementing if needed.

A care plan you can actually follow — written, clear, and tailored to your family’s needs.

on your couch, in your nursery and yes, even in your bed

  • Siblings can be present, making it easier on the whole family.
  • I can see your setup (pillows, chairs, pump, bottles) and make real-time suggestions.
a bit about me and my credentials

lactation support with a holistic approach

Our own experiences shaped the “specialties” I leaned into as a Mama to severely tied, food allergy rainbow babies who battled perinatal anxiety and depression. I found myself drawn to the extra classes and conferences that would give me the education I needed to help families just like ours, with trauma informed compassionate care that meets you right where you’re at. I’ve curated a referral network I’m constantly growing in order to better serve families of Northeast Ohio and am always trying to grow in knowledge to better serve families like yours.

I am constantly seeking more knowledge, connections and trainings on how to best support families.

FAQ

Got Questions?

Anytime you feel uncertain, stressed, or like feeding isn’t going the way you hoped. Common reasons families reach out include painful latching, concerns about milk supply, slow weight gain, pumping questions, or preparing to return to work. Some families even book prenatally to get off to a confident start.

I provide in-home lactation support across Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Falls, and throughout Northeast Ohio. If you’re outside this radius, virtual consults are always available.

At this time, I am a private-pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many families are able to submit a superbill (receipt with appropriate codes) to their insurance for possible reimbursement. I’m happy to provide this for you.

If you’re local to Northeast Ohio and want the most hands-on help, in-home is the gold standard. Virtual support is best if you live outside my service area, prefer the convenience of online care, or want ongoing follow-up after an in-home visit.

That’s wonderful! Feeding is a family journey, and I welcome your partner, spouse, or support person to be part of our time together. They’ll learn how to support you and baby in practical, meaningful ways.

you’ll get a pre-consult HIPPAA compliant online form that tells me about you, baby and what you’re experiencing, I’ll also ask what kind of tools you have to help in breastfeeding (pillows, pump (whether manual or electric) and what your overall goals are, if you’ll be returning to work and need to pump, basically all the info I need to make sure you we can focus on trouble shooting while I’m in your home and you feel confident by the end of our time together.

I highly recommend reading some books or listening to podcasts during your pregnancy as well as getting to our support group while you’re still pregnant, there are also group and private breast-feeding courses that cover everything from A to Z without fueling your anxiety, even with all the best laid foundation sometimes you just need a little extra support and that’s when you call me and we make a plan to help you reach your breastfeeding goals

If you head over to these blog posts you’ll find my favorite podcasts, books, courses and support groups that I try to keep as up to date as possible!

Yes! Many families enjoy having both sides of support — breastfeeding support and memory-keeping. While services are booked separately, you are always welcome to connect with me about coordinating both.

a few kind words from mamas I’ve had the honor of walking beside.

don’t just take my word on it, hear from mamas just like you.
  • I’m a mom of five, but regardless of how many times I give birth those first few days waiting for my milk to come in are HARD. I stress so much about whether my baby is latching correctly and how much weight they lose. I just had my fifth baby back in October. He was my first home birth so I didn’t have a lactation specialist at my fingertips, but my midwife did and WOW! She chose a special one! Brittney is someone I wish I had the previous four postpartum’s. Not only did she drop what she was doing to come see me, but it was at 9pm! We laughed, I cried. You know how pp goes! Because of her I went to sleep that night knowing we had a great latch, my milk was going to come in and he was going to be okay! Her advice was incredibly helpful and we are now ten months into exclusively breastfeeding. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

  • Brittney is kind, friendly, encouraging, and super easy to talk to! I was a little nervous when she first got here, but in no time at all I felt comfortable with her and so did my toddler! She helped me feel confident quickly about breastfeeding my new baby & taught me some tips to help baby latch better

  • Brittney has a very natural approach and her insight into latch and positioning is so helpful and catered to what feels best for you not just a one size fits all. After one visit with her I felt equipped to breastfeed well and experienced zero nipple damage! Which is insane to me because I was in extreme pain for 3 months with my first.

  • I was so thankful for the way Brittney came into our home with such grace and understanding! with it being my first baby i had no clue what i was doing and baby and i we’re figuring it out together but i never felt like she was judging me for anything i was doing! She answered all of my questions and never made me feel like any of them were silly! She let me and my baby just feed, observed and gave help when asked for it! it felt so natural having her there and never once did i feel uncomfortable! i loved the way i could tell she cared about my family and how we were doing beyond breastfeeding! I’m just so thankful for the confident and advice that Brittney gave us that truly changed breastfeeding for us! even my husband mentioned how much more calm and confident I seemed in the days after our visit!
