hey mama, i’m brittney! nice to meet you!

Whether you’ve stumbled into my corner of the internet in the middle of the night with tears in your eyes ready to throw in the towel, find yourself chasing that gut instinct that something just “isn’t right” or are planning ahead for babies arrival and want to be prepared for all the things, you’re in the right place!

First things first, let’s take a deep breath and I’ll tell you a bit about myself before you decide if we’re the right match to help you reach your breastfeeding goals. Hey! I’m Brittney and I’m a Mama like you raising her two little rainbows with my high school sweetheart right here in Northeast Ohio. Our journey to parenthood was far from what I imagined it would be, but our struggles with infertility, ties and food allergies opened my eyes to the lack of support for the Mother/Baby Dyad and lack of education to help when things aren’t picture perfect.

Our experiences and a desire to help Mamas avoid the postpartum experiences I had, launched me into birthwork to be an active part of changing the narrative. I am a Lactation Peer Counselor (currently in pursuit of becoming a CLC ) hoping to help you build confidence, be prepared for speed bumps and trouble shoot a long the way.

When I show up for you and baby I’m bringing my personal experience, a heck of a lot of research/education and my “we can figure this out” attitude to help you walk away feeling confident in your ability to feed your baby; after all every Mama deserves to be able to enjoy those baby snuggles worry free, and it’s my goal to get you there.

If I’m not with a Mama helping them navigate their breastfeeding relationship or capturing photos of growing families welcoming their newest little love, you’ll find me with my own Tiny Humans leading dance parties, experimenting in the kitchen, spending time out in nature, or devouring a book (and the hidden snacks) after bedtime.

Got Questions?

it’s always the right time to get better informed! I recommend attending a class in your late second or early third trimester and starting to build your support network by getting to our free monthly meetups!

yes! whether you’re planning on breastfeeding after you give birth, have a newborn you’re still getting into a rhythm with or your nursing a toddler all Mamas are welcome! come meet us at 1900 Krumroy Rd Akron, OH at 6pm the fourth Thursday of each month. (Resuming January 2025)

you’ll get a pre-consult HIPPAA compliant online form that tells me about you, baby and what you’re experiencing, I’ll also ask what kind of tools you have to help in breastfeeding (pillows, pump (whether manual or electric) and what your overall goals are, if you’ll be returning to work and need to pump, basically all the info I need to make sure you feel confident by the end of our time together

I highly recommend reading some books or listening to podcasts during your pregnancy as well as getting to our support group while you’re still pregnant, there are also group and private breast-feeding courses that cover everything from A to Z without fueling your anxiety, even with all the best laid foundation sometimes you just need a little extra support and that’s when you call me and we make a plan to help you reach your breastfeeding goals

If you head over to these blog posts you’ll find my favorite podcasts, books, courses and support groups that I try to keep as up to date as possible!
